This always fascinates me about 'today's society'. Folk assume that everyone drives and travels abroad, so they thus possess the necessary I.D. documentation.
Nope. Good for you :okay:, but you may find the 'phone route a wee bit tedious.

A "wee bit" ????
I tried them last week and was on nearly 2 hours. Most of that was a recorded voice telling me my call is important.
Eventually I gave up.

I’ll just ask for the paper forms when it’s time to apply and do it the old fashioned way

Going back to my rust bucket B reg mini... early 70s.
In those days you could do most repairs yourself. So, when the front end got too rusty I bought a new fiber glass one, chiselled the old one off and fixed the new one with leather straps and metal hinges.
So there it was with a green body and mustard colour bonnet.
Imagine doing that now.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

We had a mini as well. You could do everything yourself. Loved it, but it wasn't what you would call luxurious that's for sure.

I'm watching the Grey with Liam Neeson.
Which shade does he prefer?

Another gentle stroll done. 168,000 steps for the week. Feet up now.

I’ll probably watch Countryfile this evening and give the new series “Ten pound Poms” a try.

Not sure about that one. I did fancy it but saw a trailer and am now not sure.
Being brought up in the 50s onwards I knew of families that had gone for it. My uncle (who I never knew) went and made a good living out there.

Went to church this morning, came home and the weather site said early rain, so went for a walk, came home and had my dinner home made cottage pie.
Later watched a film on you tube “night watch” with Pierce Brosnan he has long hair in that one, it was quite good, this was followed by a short sleep, so not a bad day after all, but the weather site was totally wrong NO rain
