Or swaying........?

Now be fair. It was only a gallon of scrumpy between them and Dirks mate had 1/2 a pint of that.

Barnet,
I am now finding that the cost of food and groceries have gone through the roof. Today's delivery cost £114, for some essentials and a few dinners. Admittedly I don't buy budget ranges of stuff, but a year ago the average was £60 a week. Now we're up around the £100 mark.
Food inflation is currently running at around the 19-20% rate.

I am inclined just to wander round two or three times per week with a couple of bags. Used to be you could get a fair amount for not much more than twenty quid, now it's often nearer forty. Sadly, I can't see prices ever reverting to what they were.

Yes, I am sort of part time carer for my brother-in-law. One of my tasks is to do his online grocery shopping order. A year or so ago, I sometimes struggled to reach the £40 minimum spend for delivery, not anymore, his bill regularly nears £70 now.

I have returned form the metropolis if Newtown. Its been around 7 weeks since I did my shopping and bloody hell the priced are even more ridiculous than the last time I shopped.

I'm just going to have to cut Mr WD' food ration down. 😆

The very large eggs that our Tesco sell were £2.40 a half dozen a fortnight ago, I brought another half dozen Friday last and they had gone up to £2.60.
