Went to town to drop off Mr WD prescription and had a walk round town as its market day.

Total rubbish for sale as usual.

We bought some fresh bread from the Co Op and will have have beef sandwiches today.

Just back from a hot and sweaty ride taking in Kentmere & Ings:

24.1 miles. 12.1 mph and around 1100' ascent. Heart rate a bit high - hopefully just the heat and the strong breeze.

My nice little 'have a short break' bench at the miserable looking Kentmere church.

I just tried flipping the photo 180° around its vertical axis and my steed is still laying down on the drive side.

Technology - useless.

Just sorted out route for this coming Friday's walk - we are doing Helvellyn via Swirral & Striding Edges.

Looking at my old hiking logs, the quickest I did this exact same route was 3hrs 35mins when I was a 48 year old youngster back in 2004.

I think I will be a fair bit slower this time.

If I am really, really slow I will blame the heat.

My little ride was 24 miles ave at 13.24 mph
First part of the ride was rough to say the least bloody pot holes, the one I reported 3 weeks ago is still there, no surprise.......
It wasn't until I got out to the country lanes proper I started to enjoy the ride, not been out that way for 9 months a lot had changed with new houses and one a lovely big house ain't there any more
Going to have lunch now and have a rest.
Ps saw some large Brown Trout in the River Test

Just tried my new air fryer out and had fish finger butties. 'Tis a learning curve so I started simple, very nice though.
