I had a little argument with Mrs G tonight for buying our 10 year old grandson a can of Redbull. My view is that he is far too young to need energy drinks, especially at evening time. What do you think?

Totally agree with you. I won’t touch them myself let along give them to a youngster.

A big no from me. That goes against all health advice for children re energy drinks consumption.

I'm with you. No need for caffeine and sugar for a ten year old at anytime. Let alone in the evening when he needs to be calming down.
I personally don't touch these drinks.

100% with you. No reason for anyone to drink this stuff let alone a 10 year old.

I don't believe it works.
I worked, he did as little as possible, with someone who drank at least half a dozen cans every day. He always complained he was tired, no energy. If he could have fallen asleep in the storeroom he would have done. Unfortunately for him I kept the keys on me.

Morning. Up early as usual after another uncomfortable night with the heat.

Not doing much today. Just an early stroll I think.

My old neighbours have booked a holiday cottage in Comrie for a week and are coming up today so I will meet up with them a few times during the week, maybe a walk and probably a couple of meals out. That is about the extent of my socialising these days

Lovely morning. #1 son has invited us to eat out this afternoon. Reservation is for 3.30pm in Manchester. Father's Day tomorrow so I'm hoping Mrs P will drive today.

I've been up since 5.00 and basically mooching about. Coffee and paper read so it's time to spring into action. A bike needs washing and there's a couple of hours work to finish getting the allotment into shape. It's a real disappointment on the allotment this year so many losses and failures of one sort or another. I'm trying to pull things round and get some decent winter crops going. Very unhappy about this as I'm capable of much better.

Must remember to pop down to the LBS and collect my Cervelo.

Nope.

I drink an occasional one, but them I'm 61, and weigh 100kg. I can't imagine all that sugar and caffeine in a young child at night can do any good at all.

I used to drink them mixed with orange juice when I had a deadline at work, after 2 or 3 I'd be flying.
