There is nothing I can add to what has already been said @Dave7 . Big hugs to you.

Good morning. Cool and sunny here in Cumbria. On the agenda for today is canoeing and swimming - swimming is on the agenda every day! Mrs P has decided to buy a waterproof pouch to get photos of #2 son enjoying the pool. I have drawn a line in the sand. Water? My phone is not going in any "waterproof" pouch.

Just spent 30 minutes reading the one star reviews for this place. I know things go wrong for people but I don't recognise any of what I've read.

People have a tendency to only review if they've had a bad experience.

Very true. I don't often do online reviews unless I've been somewhere which is exceptional and truly deserving of the support. Once left a one star review on TripAdvisor as the photographs and description were completely misleading. They showed the property, cafe etc. were we collected the keys only to be sent off to a totally different property more like Cell Block H than a hotel.

A week later all the photos were changed!

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Mr WD has taken himself off for a walk down to our daughters house. I daresay even thought it's only half a mile away it will take him about 2 hours to get there as he is a terrible gossip, and stops to talk to anyone he meets, even strangers.

Its gives me some peace and quiet and I can Potter away as much as I want without him saying "what are you doing". 😆

Probably spaghetti and meatballs for lunch today.

Bin men have been or should I say Bin persons have now been, houseworky stuff has been done as well, so hoorah.

Well that went better than expected.
My fellow cyclist focused more on riding than chatting so we managed a 35 miler at 14.5 mph.

Nice stop at Tilly's in Bunbury too, although their prices have definitely gone up. £8 for cheese toastie!

Good ride - I would've passed on the toastie though.

I have done absolutely nothing so far, apart from oiling the chain on one bike ( 2 minute job) . I intended to ride round the Great Orme but can't really be bothered to be honest.
I am hoping to go to Anglesey tomorrow to see my daughter but she is such a busy person, I have to make an appointment to see her. She will confirm tonight if she is free all day.
Mrs G just asked me if I fancy making a flan for dessert tonight as we have plenty of milk in the fridge and it takes 1.5 litre to make one. I might do.
One thing I have noticed though is that we have only one jar of French mayonnaise left so I will to take it easy on it until I go to France again.

Banging hot again.

Decided to have a salad tonight so went and got some and also ended up in the outside gardens at the Eagle & Child pub at Staveley - lovely and shady too.

Frustrating find the noise session on the bike earlier on.

Had a creaky saddle type noise so I dealt with that a week or so back but still some slight noise.

So today I took the rear Isospeed (Trek suspension thingy) apart and have greased the pivot bolts as per Trek service bulletin for a 'non-service' item! Also greased seatpost and seatpost clamp.

Will give it a ride on Saturday and see how it goes. Next stop, chainset, cranks & BB if the above has failed. Hope not as I hate fiddling with BB's.
