I've never won anything on the premium bonds

I Wonder why?? 😀

Apparently your chances improve if you buy some

the same applies to lottery tickets - or so I have heard

anyway - dunno why but you lot comment on having won and I always just assume "Oh Well - not me apparently" - then sometimes I get a message from them a few days later
Generally the day after my wife

weird

might go and check - or might just leave it and wait until I win the car on Omaze

TURKISH BARBERS
so, Paul, apart from getting your throat cut, what did you think??
I use a leci razor and if I leave it too long its a real pain. I have wondered about trying a Turkish....maybe once a month.
What think you good folk? (Welshie and Mo can be excused if they wish🙂)

I always go to a Turkish barber, mine is not cheap but I feel worth every penny. I believe male grooming is a cultural traditional in Turkey and a really good barber brings all of this to the UK. Mine runs six chairs, each barber is genuinely Turkish. It's far more than a haircut - beard trim, unwanted hair removed from various places! and (optional) nose wax, now that's an experience  and as the guys know I tip I usually get a free shoulder massage or hot towels. Usually takes 35-40 minutes and I'm bald.

It's a very sensuous experience, I've been known to nod off.

PB's are fine if you accept that the loss of a chunk of guaranteed interest returns is the price of paying to gamble.

We got rid of ours some time ago - we found a better vehicle for instant access funds and the returns from Ernie were well below what we receive elsewhere.

Looking miserable out there although the sun is making at least a half-hearted effort to appear.

A bit of gym this morning and then we are off for a nice Carnic with fodder and Kindles.

A quiet evening is planned with a light tea, TdF highlights for me (boring sprinters stage), some music, more reading and then an early cuddly night in bed as we are both knackered.

*

Managed to get our York break in September on AirBnB booked. Nice place, off street parking, and pretty close to the city centre whilst in a quiet cul-de-sac.

AirBnB platfrorm charges have gotten a tad chunky over the years we have been using it.

Looking forward to visiting Whitley Bay for a few nights next week - hope the weather cheers up a bit.

Have a good day everyone.

I generally dislike Turkish barbers
to much fussing and too "male"

I prefer a very basic place - quick in an out with no fussing
and certainly no-one setting fire to my damn ears!!!!

Place I go to costs about £7 - with over 60s discount

Mrs SD does mine with electric clippers and costs nowt.

This partially offsets the mega-cost of her hair appointments one of which is tomorrow. 💷💷💷 ^_^

Good morning! Sunshine and showers. Here I am in Manchester Picadilly with a latte and almond croissant, both excellent. This is the start of my birthday treat. Nope, not my birthday yet.

Mrs P has been convinced our train would be cancelled. I have heard this for 48 hours. All good so far and we are sat on it.

We didn't win with Ernie. Six months since our last win so I'm cashing in all bar one to keep the account open. For the first time in years the bank looks a better option.

1. Do you have a shave each time ?
2. How often do you go?
