Rain is here. I'm on the Wunderground app with my weather station, and on the app I've been watching the wind speed increasing and rainfall starting live on other weather stations in the area.

My cousin is currently over at Strathallan airfield preparing for a parachute jump to raise money for the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance. Not sure she'll get up in time as there's thundery showers on the way and the wind is picking up too. They won't take any chances so I wouldn't be surprised if it was postponed unless she is up already.

I can actually hear one of their planes overhead building up height so with any luck she's in it. It's only about 4 miles away but I can't be arsed going over.

I don't know about the home side of the border, but down here in soft southern land the NHS beg people not to do charity parachute jumps because of the cost to them of treating the injuries! It's reckoned the amount raised is less than that which the NHS has to spend patching them back up!

Never fancied it myself, that's part of the reason I joined the Green Jackets and not the Paras. Fair play to anyone with the stones to jump out of a plane.

It wouldn't be me. I imagine it will be a tandem jump though, so not so much risk. Takes me to stand on a step ladder never mind jump out of a plane!

I did a solo jump from 2500 feet.
I Thoroughly enjoyed it but (as Mo alluded to) the waiting/hoping for a weekend with decent weather was a real pain.

Busy chasing a mole around the garden.
Was active near the end….popped the trap down. Appears the next day 30yards away. Nip out to shops. Another mound of earth next to the new one. Relocate trap….no luck.
Grrr!
Did successfully relocate a small frog to safety though….

Have you tried the singing part of a singing birthday or xmas card? take it out of the card and pop it in its burrow, apparently they don't like the noise and go elsewhere.
