I knew this guy when I was in the job. Never worked  with him but we were on the same rota for some years so we'd see each other around a lot and we'd chat on first name terms. I never had an inkling.

I now know whats gone on in full but shan't say more on that front as I know one of the victims. Suffice to say three police forces where HR types haven't done their job properly allowed this piece of utter bellendery to work there.

Aside from being increasingly ashamed to have ever been a copper, I despair at rhe level of civilian f kwittedness that allows this sort of thing to go on.

When I joined in '91 (January 21st!) the police visited me at home, visited all my references, visited past employers, visited friends and people I'd worked with in the past. If they still did that then this sort of bollards wouldn't be happening and making me very angry.

That's my morning rant done in 3,2,1, and...that's better.

There is always the "but surely the people around themmust have known" concept

but time and time again we hear of the wife who had no clue about her husband being e.g. a serial killer or rapist


It is good to hear from someone who I think "says it like it is" that they knew him (a bit) but had no clue at the time

I am hoping that a lot of Police officers who should have been kicked out years ago - or who should never have been allowed in - are now getting cleaned out

It will take a while but at least there does seem to be a growing (slowly) movement to get rid of the bad apples!

Right - up an awake - and the grandkids have landed - in much the same way as a large bomb lands

they have been fed - middle one is a bit autistic so always wants the same thing - golden toast in triangle - so that is easy
stuffed some porridge into the gob of the 2 year old and the 10/11 year old got herself some toast - in circles!

SWMBO didn;t sleep much last night so she has gone back to bed

this afternoon we are probably going to a park that has water showers and all sort of squirty things
this time I will take a towel and spare clothes - little one was shivering like crazy last time we went there and the kids found it before I noticed it was working!

No, I had no clue, but then I wasnt in a relationship with him.

I know one of his ex partners - I was her skipper for a few years - and she knew all too well. If Human Remains had asked her what he was like she woukd have been happy to oblige them.

Went to Aldi for 0800. It was eerie as the roads were empty and very few customers in the store.
I spent far more than expected.
MrsD and I always made a list which i mainly stuck to. On my own I find I am walking through the isles thinking "oh they look nice" (in the trolley they go)..... I really need to get a grip.

Went to Aldi for 0800. It was eerie as the roads were empty and very few customers in the store.
I spent far more than expected.
MrsD and I always made a list which i mainly stuck to. On my own I find I am walking through the isles thinking "oh they look nice" (in the trolley they go)..... I really need to get a grip.

I always make a list, not to curb my spending but to make sure I don't forget stuff.

Bonjour. It is very hot already here so Molly had an early walk. We have a viewing this afternoon and Mrs G is making sure the house is looking like show house so I must not move anything.
Nothing else planned otherwise. I was going to go for a ride but I wouldn't be allowed to put my wet cycling gear on the line afterwards so maybe tomorrow when all is back to normal.

Walked over to a friends house via the Heathland to pick up our new running vests. Went a more circuitous route and passed a couple of horses grazing on the Heath. Friend fed me coffee and cake before dropping me off back home. 🍰☕️

There seems to be more and more of that stuff going on and being reported.

Not long back from the dentist in Perth. It was just a check up but there was a bit of Tartar so he gave me a scale and polish while I was there. £12. Can’t complain at that.

Really muggy here now and no breeze so I’m just going to chill indoors. Think there’s women’s time trial soon anyway.

RIght - kids have gone and tea/dinner (we are a mixed race family here - you should hear how she pronounces book!!!) has been done

pudding has been postponed but will probably include Ice Cream

Kids were delivered to parent a bit wet but happy - due to a water park at the playground

there was also a fairground - that's £20 I won;t see again - should have taken a stopwatch to time the rides!!!!

Still 2 orf the 3 enjoyed it - youngest thought he was going to the playground so got upset when we walked past it - cheered up when we went back to it

middle one's autism affected him (doesn;t always) and the fairground got too loud for him - he was OK sitting on my lap with my arms around him while the other 2 played in the water park and he watched all the other children. He is very good at coping considering he is only 6 and there was a lot of loud noises - I could see his point about the noise levels!!!

I always make a list, but, I do, usually, wander off piste and put the odd treat in the trolley

I can;t use a shopping list
Well - I do but it is more of a reminder of a couple of things
I basically wander up and down the aisles and hope the items will remind me of what we need

This also means I can spot the "bargains" and see if they are worth buying

My ex used to insist of me making a shopping list - then went mad when I forgot something because it was not on the list!
WHich is the problem - if I have a full list then that is what I will get - that and only that!
