Good morning all.
A cloudy but warm start to the day here in Barnet.
A friend of ours who was a bridesmaid at our wedding is coming down to stay with us for the weekend. MrsP and her are off to Kew gardens tomorrow.
So I will be out on the bike for some essentials from the local shops later on.
By essentials I mean wine and ales. But also some chicken thighs, shallots, and fruit.

Good morning, off to my first parkrun since " Arm-ageddon " it will be Mrs Tenkaykev's 50th parkrun. I will try not to end up in A+E this time 😉

Yesterday was a bad day mentally but 'think' I have got more of a grip on things today.
A decent sleep last night.......lots of broken sleep but I managed to drift off again.
A day of tv sport methinks, starting with womens world cup this morning.

I'm glad I got out early as it's arrived here now. Might be some thunder later. Almost wish it would and clear the air a bit.

My cousin and his missus have had to cancel their visit next week due to her medical issues.
Probably just as well, as I've just gone down with a stinking cold.

Don't know if you are interested or not, but there is a through train today from Paddington to Minehead, it changes locomotives at Bishops Lydeard.

Sorry about that BUT a question just came to mind.
Why do we say "stinking" cold.....I say it but can't see the logic.
