I have been for a bimble this morning, the first one since June, I've ridden my Brinklow loop, 24 miles, I'm seriously unfit, I felt like I'd done century ride when I got in having only done 24 miles, Not a nice morning for a bike ride. warm, windy and grey with intermittent light showers, I had a bad start to the ride I punctured about five yards from the house and had to go back in to fix it, luckily it was the front which isn't too bad to change.

Salut. The kids have gone back now and peace is restored. Two of our daughters are on their way up to stay for the week end and keep my wife company when I go to France tomorrow. One of them is staying a few days.
Whilst walking Molly this morning, she caught a wasp in flight and got stung in her mouth in the process. Her lip is a bit swollen but we gave her some Piriton which should control it.

Apparently the grandkids are arriving between 2 and 3 for a sleepover
was intending to make the 4th bedroom functional but it hasn;t happened - so the little one will have to sleep in the travel cot as usual rather than in the old single bed that is currently crammed into a cupboard in bits

no chance of another ride today as there are preparation needed!
roll on "start of term" - not something I often said when I was a teacher!

Survived parkrun without coming a cropper. Felt quite nervous and made sure to keep to the centre of the trail. 38 minutes as I have lost a lot of fitness. Mrs Tenkaykev ran her 50th but a glitch means she's not showing in the results 🤔 I bought a cake to celebrate so we will eat it anyway.

Went out for an Indian meal last night and whilst the food was nice it wasn't a great experience.

It was too brightly lit (hate that) and it just didn't have that 'authentic' Indian restaurant ambience.

Apart from the lighting being too bright the modern wooden floors, 'granite' table tops and an Eiffel Tower picture didn't transport us to a faraway place. We didn't research the place well enough is our conclusion.

Call us old-fashioned if you wish...

Hope you are all enjoying your day thus far!

Fair point - I only corrected one bit - didn't notice the other part!
I noticed neither 'til you pointed out one.
