Hello!!

anyoe miss me??

no

OK - never mind - we've been in Greece for 2 weeks - very busy days - breakfast, sitting by pool, having coffee, then time just rushed to Lunch
The afternoons were no better - before you knew it was time for a swim (avoiding the "fun" water polo games organised by the "animation" team!
then time for a shower and dinner - followed by en evening in tne bat

Oh - and lots of reading

Not a bike in sight - mind you it was far too hot - walked to the beach once (10 minutes) - that was enough exercise for the holiday!

anyway - got back home at 3 a.m. this morning after leaving tehhotel at 8:30 p.m.

anyway - that's me!

That's a national Government initiative and is funded by taxpayers with the Gov' reimbursing the bus companies.

Yes, I was aware of that. Whenever we visit Edinburgh their bus company has a flat fare system as standard, I was just curious about the numbers.

We've had a flat £2 fare across the board for any journey for over a year now. The Bus company keeps extending it but I think it finishes at the end of October. It's resulted in a lot more bus usage, especially among the younger population. Of course we pensioners have our bus passes so don't pay. It seems a more logical way of doing it, no more faffing with zones and destination variables. I wonder if the incresed usage has offset the drop in revenue from the reduced fares.

We use the Bus On Demand service coming back from the club, I book it during the weekend, we have to pay for that, other wise we use our passes, it would cost us a fortune if we didn't.
