Good morning all.
Very groggy this morning as I sat up late talking to my son and daughter**. They kept forcing whisky on me.
**8 year age gap but they get on so well.
Welshie......by coincidence my son did a joint of pork as well as chicken.....it was all very nice.

I forgot to say......yesterday I "lost" my land line.
My SiL, during his garden work has broken the Virgin cable.
Not his fault tbh as the cable was barely 3" under the soil..... very lazy work.
Virgin are coming this morning and then we will argue over who is to blame.

Morning all

Off to Minehead at 10.30 for our Covid booster jabs.
Got to cut the lawns when I get back.
My name seems to be getting around locally because I can fix punctures and service bikes. There isn't a bike shop anywhere near locally.
Looks like I may have inadvertently created a little new business!
Although I don't charge.....just voluntary donations to the beer fund.
I've promised MrsD that I will only ever fix a bike if - a. I feel like it and b. It doesn't interfere with anything else we want to do.

Last week I felt really unwell.Headache Total lack of energy and appetite and taste.Runny nose.Aching body.Lost four pounds in weight,
Checked for the symptoms of the new strain of Covid which suggested that I had Covid
I did a lateral flow test showed negative.I bought the test kit during lockdown.What I’m wondering is would the test show positive for the new strain or was it only developed for Covid 19.

Pretty much recovered now.

I'm pretty sure it does, as the new strains are variations on core virus, and the core Virus is what the kits detect. I have the new kits and they are a very much improved. We had one pack of the old kits that had a vanishingly small amount of liquid in the vials.

Collected Mr WD tablets. I went into the Co Op and gave in and bought some Yum Yums.

Its not very nice here. Dull, dismal and damp.

Walked round to the cemetery to mum's grave. I managed to find a very realistic bunch of artificial flowers and have put them down. Fresh flowers are lovely, but at this time of year they die so quickly and then just look horrible. Hopefully these will be reasonably weather resistant and look nice for a while.

It's warming up slightly now.
