Started young, and still going.
Good morning all from a wet and breezy Barnet.
More dog walking this morning, and then up to the bike shop for a replacement rear axle for my old Galaxy. The locknuts were very tight so I applied a bit of pressure with a spanner either side, and the axle sheared😡 At least I have the cones, washers, spacer and locknuts. John, the owner will look at me, roll his eyes and hopefully come up with a replacement.

A busy train but we have reserved seats. Popped into Little Waitrose for the meal deal and they were handing out free pots of porridge. Walking to the platform they were giving away bottles of Actimel 😎

Right - I'm awake
Just as well as I need to get to church by 11
not for all that religious stuff - FoodBank stuff - I am supposed to be starting to look after their computers and I need to meet with the treasurer

so I need to pretend to be awake and competent

worrying thing is that I went for a blood test yesterday - normally takes a couple of days to get done and back to the doc

they rang me thins morning and said they have the results and the doctor wants to talk to me tomorrow and I am first on his list

which is worrying - the last doctor would just tell the receptionist to ring me and tell me to collect to tablets from the pharmacy!

still - at least it isn;t
"Go Direct to A&E - and don;t drive yourself"

Woke to the distant sound of a train on the paddington line. Raining in London, we're walking our granddaughter to school then heading to the station for our train to Newcastle

Don't know where you intend to travel within Newcastle Area, but, we have a bus strike at moment. Not all buses, just those run by Go-Northeast. Daughter No4 couldn't get to her agency shift today, because of them, that is a days work (and pay) she has lost (she is a minimum wage carer).

Our Hotel and the Archives are both within walking distance of the station. Is it an ongoing strike or just one day?
