Morning folks Wet n windy here as expected. Had a bit of a brain wave tuther day i intend to get a van in the not too distant future but cant really justify it as i might only use it once a week....so i reckon the local bird/animal rescue could make use of it picking up birds and the like. They do a great job, i walk past the rescue most days and often hear a recued owl hooting

Good morning all.
A bit of a mixed weather day today. A bit of rain, a bit of rain, and breezy.
All the usual things to do today, dog walks, domestics, raking up the leaves in the garden.
I need a new pair of walking shoes, Millets have a sale on at the moment so I'll cycle up to my local shop and see if I can get a new pair.

I thought Millets closed down years ago At least the one I used inLoughborough did

Blacks are in there too!

I still have my Blacks Icelandic sleeping bag. Those were the days.
Must be 60 years old. Still does the business
With global warming it doesn't seem as necessary these days.
Don't get to bivvy on Snowdon much these days.

Hi classic 33, no i'll be buying the van and either driving for them or letting them use it or both. Ive messaged the wild life rescue and they said they need all the help they can get. Anyhow its a future project that i would like to be involved with

GoOutdoors renamed all Millet branches as GoOutdoor Express Stores earlier this year.

The renaming doesn’t seem to reached my part of country yet 😀 . My daughter bought my birthday present ( a Swiss Amy knife ) in millets in Leamington a couple of weeks ago , cheaper than online too .
I quick goggle search suggests there is one in Rugby too . 😀

Well, they came and picked up the sofas and now I have to buy stuff to make the dining room more 'acceptable'.

Walked into town and had lunch in the Bell. Sausage & chips for a fiver and three pints of 'Stan's' cider. Walked back and had a nap.

Yes it does I checked Google . Isn’t there or wasn’t there a connection with Blacks I may be wrong I seem to remember I bought a Peter Storm Jacket from Blacks.When I wanted to buy another I was advised that it was available at Millets.

My cleaner is coming here this morning. She normally does Fridays but I have an all day hospital** visit tomorrow.
**they want to take me through all the 'Frailty Clinic' tests and full scans again as they are no nearer to finding out a) why I am like this or b) what they can do about it.

Morning. It’s double figures temperature wise here but blowing a hoolie. Last mild day for a while I think as it’s to plunge overnight and then stay really cold for at least the next couple of weeks.

Better get out and blow the cobwebs away.
