Right - all presents wrapped and put in relevant boxes for delivery
all cards delivered to neighbours
dinner in oven and will be ready soon
plans for tomorrow all sorted out
Go round visiting people in th emorning - come home and put the turkey (actually half a turkey crown thing) in a watch telly until it is ready
No problem
Until the daughter-in-law chips in
she wants her dinner at about 1 - so the kids (1 special needs) don;t get their food routing too disturbed
so she wants us to have our dinner early as well and head down there after
which means I can;t have a drink with Christmas Dinner
well that isn't going to happen!
so we have to decide whether to cook the turkey in the morning (not the same) or have dinner much much later
neither is great
I bet this is based on arrangements she has made with her family and then slotted us in without thought once everyone else was in place
forgetting that we have a 30 minute drive to get to their house
Honestly - she does have problems with the kids - but she really does seem to live ina world where everyone needs to fit in with her plans!!!
I'm annoyed - can you tell!
BTW - we went through all this with her yeaterday and settled ona morning visit

The wind has died down and the rain has finally stopped so the roads should be better if anyone needs to travel today. Lots of roads were flooded and were virtually impassable.

Like Kev I got stuck into the cheese last evening..... St Agur and Brei in my case. My daughter and SiL came round and we had a pleasant evening. He was driving which left her free to get stuck into my wine stock.

Out for a walk this morning, then back for our traditional Christmas dinner of sausage, egg & chips.
I was thinking of you and your traditional Christmas Dinner.
I has sausages yesterday so don't fancy them again.

Update on moan from before - we are just ringing the grandkids house up this morning - not going round to see them until tomorrow
so we are off to my sister-in-law's house in an hour or so then coming home and I can cook dinner in peace and quiet

Rotten night sleep with back pain, didn't go to church this morning as in too much pain
at least I'm on my own and won't ruin any bodys day as I won't be much fun.
