I am all for seasons but 10° in one day is too much, especially as it happens so often.

It is certainly a challenge!
We are visiting a few pals in Reeth & Harrogate over the next week….not sure whether to pack thermal trousers or shorts 🤣

That said, I do like our seasons. Never been one for super hot climates…

Well - it's OK for someone

someone who has just spent the last 10 minutes setting of a load of LOUD fireworks

which is just fine with us

but in 1998/1999ish when I had a young baby who slept VERY badly that would have been enough to wake her up and she would have been awake and grumpy for the next 2 hours!!

I can understand it for New Year - you expect it and we planed around it

but 3rd May????

Barnet,
Good morning all.
Another sunny start to the day here but a little chilly compared to the last week, 7⁰ at the moment with a high of 13⁰ forecast for today.
A leisurely day, with more planting of bedding in the front garden, and grass cutting out the back.

Morning all :hello:

Watchet market is on today down at the harbour. Will pop along to see what's on offer before we go to lunch at the Railway Inn.
The Spring Steam Spectacular has been running all weekend; lots of chuffers in both direction; double headers, goods wagons and passenger coaches - all good stuff, which we can watch going past our front garden.
