I try to have one say a week as my "day off" and today is that day. I still have to walk thr dog and walk Mini D to school, put the washing on the line, tidy the house, etc, but otherwise it's a Q day of chilling and snoozing,

Pleasant wander done. Up over the hill, down the other side, cross the main road and along the side of the loch and home past the distillery. I didn’t stop for a dram. I don’t even like the smell that comes out of it.

I'm catching the 09:46 bus today.
Safely after the 09:30 'Am I twirly' Ol' fatrs Bus Pass conversation.
No point in driving (hospital parking is atrocious) or cycling (well known for bike theft at the hospital)

Any time I've had to go to a hospital either for myself or visit someone the carparks are always rammed. I don't know if it's staff or patients or visitors but inevitably just about every space is taken and it involves the multiple drive around search in hope for a space.

Yep. Part of the problem, I think, is that it's next to the town centre so there's staff & visitors plus some shoppers, too.

Just go into the grounds looking like anyone else that might be expected to visit any hospital. Or, wander round, in Hi-Vis, clipboard in one hand pen in the other making notes. They'll never suspect you.

It seems to be a problem nationwide.
Although, Finchley Memorial hospital being a smaller specialist place with a walk in minor injuries department has plenty of parking, plus a bus goes right up to the entrance.
Barnet general on the other hand is large, with lots of clinics and wards. The parking after 8.00am is always full, it is a large car park but there are too many people using the place. There are 4 buses that stop right outside and lots of cycle parking which I normally use, but patients come from all over so that is not an option for some.
