Morning.
Glorious but maybe for the last time.
Unfortunately I'll be spending most of day on the road and not on the bike.
The washing machine has been employed.

Just over 10 miles done. I jogged a couple of miles on the way back down to try and get off the narrow road before the water treatment workers go up plus there’s construction going on as well.

Morning all :hello:

Yay....tis Fish Friday!
Got a couple of things to do in my workshop before we walk down to the harbour to meet up with my best mates wife for lunch in the Star. Her hubby gets back from his motorcycle tour of Ireland this evening, so I expect she'll be making the most of her free time today.

Sunday we're off to the big smoke aka London so much drinking and eating will be partaken. Fortunately I don't put on weight and so only issue are the hangovers as I get older.

It all depends upon personal circumstances. I was fortunate to retire early as had a really good career and so whilst not rich I am financially secure and my company pensions are more than enough to enable my state one to be deferred.

However, I appreciate this isn't the case for a lot of people so having to work until literal old age is not good especialy those in ill health.

What gets me though is we pay tax on earnings then continue to pay tax on pensions. That is what always seems unfair but I also understand need to pay for services etc.

Anyway. This is straying a bit away from the usual jovial discussions on this thread so best left there!
