Morning all .
The met office is forecasting winds of 19mph gusting to 42 by 11 o’clock which is when my race is due to start. Somehow I doubt I will be sailing today 😀.
I will just have to help Mrs exlaser put her boat back together after doing an Open meeting yesterday. She won the event for the first time ever, so all is sweetness and light in our house today. 😀

Nice 3 miles with the dogs.. Dry at first, then a rain shower for 10 minutes then dry for the reminder of the walkies 🐶 🐕

Barnet,
A blustery riverside trail done. No wonder the council struggle for money even after raising our council tax. When I passed the car park at the park a council pickup pulled in and not one, but three council workers got out to empty the bins! How much is that costing on a Sunday.

It's possible that that the workers are salaried so although they are in on a Sunday, it is not costing any more. They'll likely have a day off during the week to make it up.

Good Morning. Blowing a gale here. More gentle overnight rain means the soil will be improving all the time. I've spent a very useful 2-3 hours catching up email and other admin stuff I needed to do - mainly for our u3a. Next it's time to stretch and exercise as I've been sat down for too long.. #1 son is coming for lunch with his daughter, known locally as #2SP...............life gets complicated. I could mention #3 son is flying home from Florida today with #1SP and #3SP but I'll try to avoid confusing you all.

I had hoped to install a 6 foot fence panel today with the help of my son and a neighbour. Current wind speeds of 25+ suggest this might be imprudent. Once everyone has departed I intend to go for a walk.

This is my biggest downfall. Although I exercise quite a lot, I also sit for far too long in between. I was even wondering about getting a standing desk for the computer. I’ve pretty much sat here at the computer since breakfast.

Hope you don't mind me saying this Mo but I think you beat yourself up far too much.

You do huge amounts of cardio and must be pretty fit (although some weight work would be advisable), more so than most people of a similar vintage.

You really don't have to be doing something all the time, imo.

Resting/dossing is fine, it's part of the recovery process as well as being an enjoyable part of life.

Chill!
