Funny, true story.
Many years ago we were travelling through there, I think were were heading for Shell Island.
Anyway we were lost.
We saw a local and decided to ask so my friend said " excuse me, are we on the right road for for Dollygaloo.
Then we showed him the map.
TBF he didn't laugh too much.

There's the tale of the Guards pulling up at a petrol station station, asking if they were on the right road to Ballymalone. They got the answer they were on the right road, but headed in the wrong direction.

The place is very small and I reckon they only put signs to it from the A55 to annoy the English tourists!

I can't say that word either so I just call it the French way , which sounds like Gweegeefilgee.

Dry but filthy weather due by 10..
Pity as the family are having a garden party for my granddaughter, it's triple celebration as........
She rcently finished her spell in Shrek the musicalcal at the Brindly theatre.
It's her 22nd birthday.
She is off to Uni in a few months.

So...... we have a gazebo, a tent, my patio which is under cover.
So all should be good.

Our local parkrun 8th anniversary today. There's a request for 80's themed fancy dress, and for people to bring cake. It was at the 6th anniversary that I took a tumble and ended up in A+E with a broken arm. I won't be running today in case I jinx it again 🤔. Also 13 years to the day since my last long run, Pietermaritzburg to Durban. 5:30 am start in the cold and dark and then seeing the sun rise over the African veld as the day got warmer, munching on halves of skin on potatoes dipped in salt and drinking sachets of water that had been kept in troughs of ice... 😎
Anyway enough rambling, have a peaceful day folks ☕️☀️👍

Overcast but early rain has passed over but more due hence ride yesterday not today.
Not sure on plans as yet, if it dries up enough I might do a bit more hedge cutting.

Good morning. Slowly clearing up and we may get sunshine 🌞 soon. #2SP is on a sleepover. She went down at 8.15 and didn't wake till 5.50. Result! She clearly hates her travel cot. She's currently sitting in the fireplace watching Telly Tubbies........who says I don't know a thing or two about Granddadding?? 🤣

Later we head to her home to hand over to Granny who is doing tonight and tomorrow. I think this could be a bit clingy as #2 doesn't know this Granny very well. Mrs P are going for lunch at Slattery's.

I've discovered Bruce tickets are now only available at the event Box Office. I didn't know Ticketbastard did this. I thought I could buy online today. I'm not driving to Anfield on the off chance. Lesson learned. ☹️

I have a new swmbo, it's called my daughter. Tbf she is level headed.
Anyway, I decided to try Aldi AND had nearly escaped when she caught me .she is right as I am still very weak plus my feet are swollen up.
I am going stair crazy but I know she is right.
