Good morning folks. Due to various commitments our " Second Friday " group will be meeting today, a Monday. Train to Weymouth and an amble around a couple of hostelries before lunch at " Roma " an excellent Turkish restaurant.
Daughter No 1 called yesterday for a natter, her and her chap are heading down to the " End of the Road " festival at the Larmer Tree near Salisbury. I looked at the line up and recognised none of the acts.
The weekend coincides with her 50th birthday. We're about 15 miles from Salisbury so hopefully we’ll meet up as we've yet to meet her new chap.

"Roma" seems a strange name for a Turkish restaurant, sounds more Italian (or am I wrong)
Hope it goes well and you enjoy meeting the 'new man'.

A warm sunny start to the day here and due to get up to around 25⁰ this afternoon.
MrsP wants to go to Capel Manor gardens today, so my bike ride will have to wait.

Bit overcast here although forecast is glorious for next 10 days or so.
Cats, fed, tea for wife made and a weeks worth of cycling kit in the wash.
Today will be a weights session and maybe a bit of garden maintenance.

Truth Social is a cesspit of Trump lies, but it is quite satisfying to reply to his posts with what a total a£$3 he is 🤣

Meanwhile….my iPad is defo on its last legs 😔 Thumb print has been failing for some days now, & today I see the keyboard has an area glowing red:

Might have to put a request into the Capital Budget Committee 🧐
Maybe a birthday present. Looking at today’s prices, maybe combined birthday & Christmas….maybe for the next 3 years 😱

Morning all

Went out on the Bantams yesterday and only got half a mile down the road before MrsDs bike started smoking very badly and smelling of burnt gearbox oil. Went back home, picked up my 350 AJS and went two up on that.
Her Bantam is now in the workshop having major surgery.
Suspected drive side crank seal has failed - which entails a complete engine strip.
Well.....I was only saying the other day, that I could do with another project!

Me too. I’m only on here and pop into Facebook occasionally as my ex colleagues and a few relatives in Oz are on it, but that’s all I bother with.

I did do Facebook for about a year, ten years back, but i got so fed up with all the rubbish coming through that I disabled the account. I couldn't actually delete it.
This and WhatsApp are the only online media sites I frequent.
Other news----
The second bin lorry is outside right now.
They seem to of changed the timings now. The recycling lorry was always first, about 6.30am followed by the general rubbish lorry an hour or so later.
Now it is the general lorry first, the recycling one just now.
I suppose the managers have to change things to justify their jobs and bonuses.

Im not on any of them. From what I gather they're photographs of people's lunch on the one hand, and at the other extreme they're inhabited by people who share their political views to make their chums cackle and then invent puerile names for anyone that dare disagree. Dant be doing with any of that nonsense.
