Well I have finally seen an article in the local press showing why they closed the bridge last night

It was - as I suspected - someone they "had to escort away for his own safety"

apparently the bridge was closed for an hour
so if I had just hung around I would have got home earlier

but it could have been closed for longer and there was no way of knowing at the time

but main thing is that the bloke is OK
me getting my dinner late is not really that important in comparison!

Wow it’s a little warm today just back from taking my boat to have a small repair before trying to sell it. Car was saying 33 degrees outside and it still 26 in the lounge and 28 upstairs in the house . I really hope they are right and this is the high point of the week .
It’s just too warm for me .😀

Just back from the dentist, a course of penicillin to be followed by root canal work, not much change from £500.

Double ouch! I'm on Denplan which is costly over a year but it does cover everything bar lab work for a crown. My teeth have needed some work recently and that was a root canal job and a crown fitted. Cost me £140 for lab work for crown but rest covered.
It's a toss up whether to just pay as you go so to speak or Denplan. my dentist is a Denplan one so that's that. I tend to get my moneys worth as when I was younger the NHS dentist was a butcher(did loads of unnecessary work etc and now old fillings need replacing etc).

Fortunately going to the dentist never been an issue for me, some have a real phobia.

Not a phobia as such, but when I was 14 I had some teeth removed. They didnt knock me out properly andnI felt the lot but couldn't call-out or move.

Not been back since.

Its not a case of phobia, it's just im not giving the butchers a chance to do that to me again.

Hello. Our lounge had thick stone walls so it is cool in summer and keeps the warmth in winter.

You must either have excellent teeth and or been lucky then. I'd be surprised if you don't need something doing.
