I also need to cut the grass but it's clover time and the bees love it so I'm reluctant to remove a food source although most of it should be below cut height but issue I find is they don't fly off when I approach on mower and I hate it if I should "collect" any so I'm constantly having to stop, get off and shoo them away which is gets a bit of a pain after a while as they just move over a few metres so next run same again.
Bees are an endangered species due to mankind destroying their natural habitat and climate change(sorry not on hobby horse, its a fact) so I'm loath to do anything which might affect them.
I'm with you all the way. We don't have much clover but our young next door neighbour does. He's taken my advice not to cut. 👏👏
