Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
City Fibre cabled up our area a year or so ago. Toob Broadband offerred a deal for 900Mb up / down and it has been rock solid. We then started getting offers from the usual suspects such as EE offering " Superfast Broadband 300Mb for £29.99* The price was going to increase each year by inflation plus an " uplift ", Toob price is fixed for the duration. As ever, it pays to shop around.

I am with EE. To be honest the price Has gone up and up. I now pay an average of £46 a month and any calls I make IE zero cost extra..

I might take a look at that. Thanks

Ironing done.

Student finance hassling me for all sorts of info I don't have, and I dont have it because I never received it from them in the first place. Politely, but firmly, lost my rag with them, told them I'm supposed to be resting and won't be running round after then and to do their worst.

And now I'm going for a little lay down.

Agree with you there Mo :okay: Tesco free range changed from brown to horrid gleaming white [presumably all the brown layers got early 'retirement']. These new white eggs dont crack normally for some reason ie the crack can be lengthwise and end up with a handful of egg  watery, insipid, tasteless..... the 'great' minds that ruined tomatoes are doing the same for eggs. 😖
You have chickens growing tomatoes on that side o'border!
Or are they laying tomatoes instead of eggs?

Good morning. It looks like we are in for a pleasant day and the forecast is half decent. I've been awake since 3.00am and still feel tired after the last few days. I could easily sit around doing bugger all but my regular ride buddies have persuaded me a ride is the solution. They're probably right. Today could mark a new departure for me - cycling wise. A couple of guys who live further afield have joined us in recent months and we feel we should visit and start in their area. Yep, I agree, it's only fair. Today's plan is a trip to Cheshire - for the locals it's basically Warrington >Northwich >Knutsford >Altrincham >Mobberley >Warburton Bridge (ship canal in the way!) >Cadishead >Home all via the back lanes, many of which I know from when I worked in Lower Peover.

A new departure he says? I'm a firm believer a bike ride starts at home and finishes at home. None of this popping the bike in the car and driving to the meet point. Today's meet point is a 14 mile ride for me, then we have a 65 mile route plus I feel nackered already. So, I'll ride to the meet point safe in the knowledge a local friend who is also riding will, if needed, give me a lift home afterwards. This meet point turns a 65 mile ride for some into 93 for me. Well that's OK but I'm not sure how I'll feel about 14 solo miles at the end. That's at least 60 minutes and probably 75 - 80 or more. A lift home at the end? Might feel like a bail out? We will see.
