Adeline reminds me of a time I worked for a smallish engineering company (80 men on the shop floor). The receptionist was a very well endowed girl.
One day my boss, referring to her, made the throwaway comment "if her brains were as big as her t*ts we could all go home".

Hello again.
Back from my walk. 90% of it is through the park and the furthest bit is through a housing estate..... I have added that bit on just to pad it out.
Got a few dishes to wash and then it is a very chill day.
BTW I can see the forecast showers being possible as, although warm, it is quite gloomy.

Good morning. A brief catch up. A beautiful day here in Lancashire. A few moments and I must jump in the car and head over to the wilds of east Lancs to collect the little ones. I slept quite well but still feel groggy so today may be tricky. My boys are at home for the first time this season. Very unusually I am not looking forward to this. See the Football thread for the full on rants of recent days and to come................basically our coach is a charlatan who claims "we are in transition," "this is a season for transition".............................loosley translated this means we will be crap and settle for anything higher than 20th. Not happy.

My team, Barnet haven't started off well since being promoted.
Lost to Newport County in the league cup preliminary round,
Lost to Fleetwood and Bromley in the league. It might be a long hard season. ⚽️

Now men don’t even seem to know if they are men!

Warm and humid walk done. I really need to give the car a wash either today or tomorrow before it goes in for an MOT and small service on Thursday. To think many years ago I used to enjoy washing and polishing my car. I’m not sure if I’ve done it since last year at this time!

Morning.
Phew wot a scorcha! A bit warm and getting warmer.
A ton of washing on and several more tons to go as eldests mates have gone so they'll left a stack of towels back linen etc to sort.
Wife and two adult kids gone to visit her mother and rest of family for a few days so I'm home alone with the cats.
First job on list is remove/replace wiper linkage in kids car as it's seized. Looking at youtube videos it looks fiddly but doable.
