I see on local news that a hotel taken over by new owners was complaining that the town clock chimes every 15 minutes and it is upsetting and annoying their clients . They wanted it to be turned off at night. The comments from locals was priceless. Needless to say, the town council turned down their request.

Similar thing happened in Wimborne with new people complaining about the Minster bells pealing on Sunday mornings. A bit like buying a house near to a school and complaining about the noise at playtime.

Morning folks havent been riding much recently due to sore eyes....my lid has a visor but doesnt seem to help the issue. Think i'll get some contact lenses which will give a physical barrier to air flow,
Have been cracking on with my gardening and have put in a morello/damson and various shrubs and flowers. Made a space for a garden bench seat so i can loaf outside, will also get a bird bath as its entertaining watching avian ablutions!

A cloudy start to the day here in Dorset. As well as the granddaughter staying we have the Leeds contingent arriving later in the day, accompanied by other daughter and granddaughter. Mrs Tkk is doing a pasta bake with salad and garlic bread to feed them all.
DHL will be delivering her new G Line tomorrow, the tracking shows that it's travelling from Brilliant Bikes to Heathrow and down to Southampton. All is once again in balance as we now have two Brommies each, or for routine and one for Sunday best😉

Off to Minehead this morning for MrsDs opticians appointment.
Meeting up with our mates for breakfast in Wetherspoons.

I a village Mini D #1 used to live at the church bells had rung for 800 years.

Some greedy developer built 4 executive homes and the new residents complained about the bells, which had to stop ringing. Utter foxtrotting madness.

Heaven help us if we have to go to war with twits like that living among us and such prats in authority.

Pleasant 5 miles walked. Some peeps had jackets on but I was still sweating in my t shirt. Maybe my thermostat is broken!

Teachers go back today as an in service day then the kids go back tomorrow.

Saturday afternoon i was driving past the lay by where I get our eggs and potatoes at the weekend and thought.. bugger, I missed him this weekend. My brain was convinced it was Monday....took me a while to work out what the heck the day was... I assume that's a common theme for retirees, I remember my dad saying the same.

Back from Aldi. Managed to get everything on my list.....PLUS a few things I didn't know I needed until I saw them .
Late breakfast will be warm croissant with runny honey.
I might put my dark wash on, will decide after I have chomped.

Mo, as we are all retired , EVERYDAY IS THE WEEKEND ! and Hooray ! I am off to Austria next Sunday with her indoors. We are not here for a long time , we are here for a good time !!
