Bonjour. The new washing machine is on its way. Should be here in 5 minutes according to the text I just received.

My machine is whirring away at the moment. Not sure how much longer it will last though. If I put a heavy load in, it sometimes makes a funny noise. I've had it for quite a while so can't complain if I don't get much longer out of it.

First decent bike ride in a while. Just over 40 miles, glorious sunshine.
I need the practice - have a 4 day 150-mile cycle camp adventure in Devon later this month with a mate 🫣
What a beautiful day for doing half the IOW. One day I will manage a full circuit 🤷‍♂️

I've done the IOW randonee mant times over the last 30 years. If you follow the route signs either clockwise or anti clockwise it's a little over 66 miles. It's always a bit tough, even on a good weather day, horrible when it's a bad weather day.

All this talk of cycling, walking and washing machine stuff........how is a boy supposed to sleep
I don't think I have any plans today so it should be a quiet one.
I had a vivid dream that seemed to last ages. They say dreams only last a moment but I don't know how I could pack all that happened into a moment.

Morning.
Heavy rain overnight and more forecasted. I did a weights session yesterday so unless it dries up sufficiently it could be the dreaded turbo later.
Yikes.

Morning all, today is packing for the Hebridean way. I'm off crack of sparrows tomorrow. Not that I'll be doing much cycling till Thursday. Trains to Oban, ferry to Castle bay will take most of the day. I think it's going to p*** it down starting tomorrow, better packing the waterproofs.
