MrsD's cataract op went well. She's wondering why she was concerned now; says it was a breeze....can't wait to have the other one done now.
Oh....Yay! Fish Friday!
Having FandC delivered this evening. :okay:

Good to hear. I have early stages and get very squeamish at the thought of getting it done. I’m sure the thought of it is far worse than the actual process.

I have officially declared the end of summer

The sun umbrellas have been folder up, covered and stored in the shed
the bases that stop the falling over have been emptied of water and washed of carp

the chairs have also been stored in the shed
and the cushions have been put in their bags and stored in the loft

so that's that until next spring!

Yep, I am with you there.
I have gone from "no chance, not ever under any circumstances" to "OK, it has to be done".
I will know for sure on Tuesday.

my problem with that is that if they "do" my right eye and it goes a bit wrong

I'm stuffed as my eyesight through my left eye has always been rubbish - and glasses that correct it would weight about 17 tons!!!

so reading, watching telly and all that would be stopped to a large extent
as would driving and cycling

all of which would badly affect my quality of life - and that of my wife
how we deal with that is a problem

She said that the whole process was much easier and less uncomfortable than going to the dentist for a scale and polish.
Given the choice, she just said she'd rather have a cataract op than see a dentist.
