I suppose it is, to use the phrase, all relative. I never** used to clean/wash mine. Chain and brakes were looked after.

I went for the meat feast. The ghosts of a thousand cows, pigs and chickens have returned to haunt me.

Back from Aldi. It does annoy me the way they move things around or even stop selling what I would think were popular items.
Today I wanted "ready to wok" noodles which normally come in packs of 2 sachets......1 sachet does 2 people.
So niw........different make and in 1x single large sachet. They are not dried so once a sachet is open it must be eaten.....what good is that for single people ?
AND they were not with other pasta type stuff, they were in with the various jars.
Oooohh rant over, I've come over all wobbly and need a lie down .

Was planning on a ride this morning but it looks like the forecast has changed and it'll start raining in the next hour or so

i.e. exactly when I would be out

so I'll get the shopping done and see what happens this afternoon!

New piston rings on the Barracuda and barrel fitted yesterday.

Got to set about the cylinder head and rocker box today. Valves to grind etc.

Hopefully I'll get it running this weekend.

Anyway, today's task!!!
I have, I think, mentioned that I am writing my memoirs.
I have been scribbling thoughts down as and when. Yesterday I started to 'assemble' them into book form.
I am older that most (probably all) on here, being born in Feb 1947.
This was a critical time in UK history (particularly Merseyside) as we were recovering from the war, rationing was still on and in my area money was scarce.
I am trying to get all that across without boring the grandchildren.
Enjoyable but not easy for my simple mind.

I used to find grinding valves in quite therapeutic.

Anyway,

The dog has been walked, the downstairs has been hoovered and now I have a large pot of tomato soup on the go. Some tomatoes have been frozen, i know it's a bit of a waste but they will be good for soup and sauces later. I still have 4-5 LBS of tomatoes left, with plenty still to ripen off.

It's all kicking off in London today, I would love to go, but knowing my luck I would get arrested.
I'm sure it will be shown on youtube and all over the media tomorrow.
