It can cheap to get there... I hitch-hiked from London & got a flight from Athens..
It did take two months though 😂

Busy afternoon - tried out our new bread maker, loaf looks good - taste test later when its cooled. While it was working up a sweat in the kitchen I was working up a sweat doing a Zwift race - came 20th out of 32nd and had great fun -
I did get a message but it had no reply option.

I would only go on an organised tour £3k to £4K I will need to win the lottery

I would not go back with all the troubles.
Wonderful area which gave me lots of wonderful memories but those days have, sadly, gone.

I have heard that is is all sorted and Peace and Prosperity will be there forever
but on a more realistic tone - my wife wants to do the Nile cruise again
she wants to do the bigo ne that starts up near the Med and goes right down to the dam and then by coach/air to Abu Simbel
but I am a bit hesitant until things calm down
A quick dash to Wimborne on the bus to pick up some tickets for a children focussed show and activities on the first Monday of half term. The box office wanted £1.50 online booking fee per ticket, there's 5 of us going so it was cheaper to get the bus and purchase them in person.
Popped into " Spill the Beans for Turkish raisins and pitted dates. Couldn't resist the chocolate covered ginger so got a small bag ( 125g ) oh, and there were some chocolate covered mis shapes too that I couldn't resist either 😁

She was supporting Simply Red the other week.
We listened to a bit on Spotify first (didn’t know her) - very Karen Carpenteresqe….but she clearly had a bit of a cold on the night & wasn’t quite so good for us. Glad she was on form for you!
Well….I checked my bike this morning, having a ride with 2 pals planned for tomorrow…only to find a very flat tyre 😱
Wanted to get more Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres (they probs have done maybe 4,000 miles, many with full loads of tent & gear!)….found one of the decent LBS to us (Julie’s Cycles) who had some in stock….dropped in, we agreed I needed discs and pads too 🙏
Left them too it, had a short walk & then ordered beans & scrambled eggs on sourdough at a nice cafe opposite the bike place (Clarendon Perk 🤪)…& seconds later had a text telling me they were done 💪
Cracking service….& I shall be on the road by 10 in the morning 😎
