Good morning. I could have said that more than five hours ago. Awake at 2.35. Why? Yesterday I slept till 6.30, last night 2.30!!!! This is going to make today interesting. There's quite a lot to do but I was expecting this. Mainly getting ready for our French visitors, none of it a big deal, make up the beds, clean towels, clean the bathroom etc. What will be interesting is this evening. They arrive at John Lennon, Liverpool at 23:35. My bedtime is usually 21.30 - 22.00!!! My current plan is to head over about 9.00pm, park up, set an alarm and sleep in the car for an hour or so.

Right then onwards, Ironing board is up, iron is warming. I'll have a couple of boilled eggs and then crack on.

Morning all :hello:

Parcels expected today.
Oh.....and I've got to fix the syphon in our en suite loo.
Might nip over to see a pal later on.

I can say for certain that that is not correct.
They would normally meet as a group at eg a publishers house, get a pep talk from whoever is leading that day, and he would give them thier allocated street/s.......say a prayer then off they would go.
Thay cannot start counting time until they have knocked on the 1st door.
They can slightly cheat by eg if they are walking to the allocated street and hand a leaflet to a passer by then they can start counting time fro that moment.

They said that when the were out on the street manning their stand, if anyone approached them and they said hello they would count that towards their total. Now I know JWs cannot lie (joke), so I took them at their word.

My SiL (Sue's sister) man's the stand regularly.
Let's assume the stand is there for the day and you are, say, on the 2nd team. Your time starts as soon as you are in situ. I imagine (but I don't know for certain) that if eg they can walk to the stand and hand a leaflet out while on thier way then thier time starts from that moment.
We used to laugh when visiting New Brighton in the summer. We saw them, manning the stand, in the sunshine, eating ice creams....... we said "what a way to earn your passage through Armaggedon".
