Good morning all.
Had a bit of a sleep in and missed Tony Blackburn on the radio. I'll catch up later on.
The gutter man is coming round at 10.30 to see what needs doing, then I'll be out on the bike for a bit as the weather doesn't look too bad today.
I've had an hankering for an Indian takeaway for a while, so no cooking today. Lamb Madras with rice, sag aloo for me, chicken pasander and brinjal bhaji for MrsP. With a garlic naan. :hungry:

Morning.
Blowing a gale although dry and a hint of sun. I need to climb out of en suite window on north side of house to put some sealant in which should be fun in this wind but has to be done.
I would like to get a ride in but I might turbo instead due to weather.
The log burner going last night was superb, one of the few joys of temperature dropping.

Good morning. WOW!!!! Slept for 7:36 hours. It's a beautiful day. I should be on my bike but Rovers are at home meaning I need to head out to collect my lad about 11.00. Fingers crossed for tomorrow morning. Forever an optimist.....the forecast for Sunday is dire.

Well I attempted my FTP test yesterday. Failed miserably and couldn't complete it. I haven't used a watt bike before and have a lot to learn. I've a new found respect for all who sit on turbos in the garage - it's clearly very, very challenging. My PT is a longstanding and good personal friend. She understands me and knows how badly I feel a failure. She was very supportive and has promised guidance to get me there next time. I've never bailed a bike ride other than through a mechanical. I've limped home badly on more than a few but always finished. This is a big new challenge.

Today is full of promise. I'm expecting three deliveries. Lusso for my new cargo bib tights. Thompson & Morgan and Suttons are supposed to deliver my garlic Carcassonne Wight and elephant garlic. The bed is ready and today's weather is ideal for planting. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes.

Really looking forward to getting my tights. My size was sold out when they were on sale at full price, £155. I emailed asking for help. A pair have been made especially for me AND supplied at the sale price of £119. That's what I call customer service and a fantastic little business. Lusso bibtights

This is one of the Youtube channels I follow. The three most recent videos are about heart health for the older cyclist. Maybe some might find it interesting.

Morning folks :okay: ive become a Womble! i noticed a neighbour was replacing some square fence posts which had rotted off at the bottom and asked if i could have them. I cut the rotten ends off and will use them for the corners of planters [the wood is sound above the rot].
When the wind dies down i'll go and get a wheelbarrow of leaves to go in my compost. :okay:

This is serious. Have we been invaded? Has anyone else had a close encounter of the third kind today?

I found an alien life form at the bottom of our veg box. It was clearly hiding, waiting for an opportune moment to begin world domination. I squished it and put it in my compost bin...... I'll let you know of anything emerges in the spring

Photos, we really need a Photos. 😮

Just watched a YouTube video from " Candid Clara " where she tested 5 different toasters from budget to expensive. I was interested because our daughters " Ninja 3 in 1 " was one of the five as was our 20+ year old one. As a result of watching I am now tucking in to a couple of slices of home made seeded bread with Marmite, peanut butter and mushed up sliced banana 😁

I got this far and wondered where we were going............it was a mighty relief to discover we're talking toasters 🤣
