If it wasn't for the fact I would miss the internet, I would happily live like Yorkshire Hannah in a remote cottage up on the moors!

Just wandered up to the Co-op for a few things. I never seem to spend much less than £40 every time I go. Prices still seem to be going up.

The internet can be rigged up for most places nowadays!

Personally I would not live in a remote place, although I would love being there

I would worry about possible health problems in the future, making mobility a problem

Morning/afternoon all, I love remote places and always wanted to move to that sort of place . But the older I get the more I appreciate the convenience of living in a small city .
Plus having the problem with my eyes earlier in the year, made me focus lol on the fact the my ability to drive might change going forward and think where I want to be if I cannot drive anymore .

That's my problem
If my rigth eye gets dodgy then my left won't take over - it is just rubbish and glasses can;t correct it

so if that goes then driving goes and cycling gets a bit dodgy

and we are a good 30 minute walk from Tesco

but mostly - if I was stuck in the house I would go mad - which my wife agrees with

My mother's mother came from there

I have never been there and can't see any reason to do so!
I will put up with places like London and York to be able to visit the historic places they have

but if I want a holiday I would rather go to somewhere remote - but near a pub!

It’s a typical Midlands industrial town, but has some wonderful old buildings, it’s a culturally vibrant place, has a good university and has some lovely parks . So it’s not all bad.

I live on the edge of Coventry , we have two supermarkets and our doctors are only a 10 minute walk away . The city has a good bus service so the city centre, shopping centres, railway station and hospital are all with in a 15/20min bus ride away. Ten years ago none of these things wouldnt have been important to me, but after seeing my mums problems in her last years has made me realise these things are of increasing importance as one gets older.
