Just had a TV licence goon at the door.

I asked, "did you just walk down my drive?"

He confirmed that he had.

"Excellent, then you know the way out." Slammed the door in his face.

Im expecting a visit from Waitrose soon to prove I shop at M&S.

So that's a shite day over and done with. Mrs P has broken her left clavicle. Six weeks in a sling while it heals. I think the morphine has kicked in as she's started talking about Negroni recipes - completely out of the blue. This could have been far worse so small mercies and all that.

One tip I'll pass on. I rang seven friends who live within 200 metres to get help to lift Mrs P up. No one answered. Since then they have all messaged on the lines of "sorry, I always keep my phone on silent." I rather hope they won't any longer. You think help is a call away........it isn't.

Evening folks :okay: yep that was a crap day and commiserations to those who have had a worse one :okay:
At least ive planted my blackberry and put in some daffs as well
Talking clavicles- i broke my left one too whilst touring Ireland on a motorbike, a young driver didnt see me over taking and turned right across my 'bows' and forced me/bike/girl friend straight into a wall

A successful bit of "fettling" today.

I have a Specialised Vado 4SL e-bike. A few days ago, I was about to go for a ride, and, disaster, it would not turn on. I feared the worst, it needed a replacement battery. Images of large sums of money, drifted through my mind.

I did my usual, and, asked Google. This led me to a video on Youtube. It appears, there is a small "button battery" (CR1620) in the controller which adjusts power levels. None of my local shops stocked that size, so, Amazon to the rescue. Battery delivered this afternoon, and, duly fitted.

All working again.

Phew! £4.50, instead of £?big number 😊

My controller has a battery like that
but it is only used when the main battery is not connected

it didn;t work when got it and I have never put a new one in

works OK without it and I never use it unless the main battery is in anyway

would be different if it was a more complicated controller

Barnet,
Im sitting at home listening to Blues music from Radio2. It sounds like the blitz out there tonight, but it is firework night. Harry the big tabby is asleep on the chair unconcerned, and the girls are on our bed looking a bit concerned.
Daffodils, tulips, crocus and snowdrops planted in the front and back garden today as the weather was fine.
A 10 mile ride was had on the bike, the muscles in my right leg are getting back to near normal from before the knee op, so hills are getting a bit easier. 😁
