Mrs D out with some friends, left me alone cuddled up to two labradors.

I split my skull open eight months ago, getting partway there under my own steam. The bus station where I'd planned on catching the second bus needed to get to the hospital. Whilst in the A&E, I was asked if I'd mind being treated in the corridor. An elderly lady, struggling to breathe needed the trolley more than me.

If you're getting bored easily, a visit on Monday might be on the cards.
Managed to get an "urgent appointment" yesterday, following the above problem. Thirteen months after the incident, and it'll be another four months before the actual appointment. I'd to offer a good reason as to why I felt the appointment was required in the first place. A referral from the attended A&E didn't seem to cut it.

Just as well it was only classed as urgent.

A chat with the consultant this afternoon and all is well. He wants to do a " gene panel test " as apparently the technology has moved on a fair bit since they did the original one and they can now test for more genetic mutations and they're interested in finding out which genes have mutated. I did pose the question as to whether the mutant genes could mutate back to their original state but apparently it doesn't work like that. 🤔
Still, as I said, good news 😎

STAND BY YOUR BEDS !!!!
It would appear that I'm back  .
TBH i wasn't going to bother but I was fed up of getting begging messages from various mods just pleading with me. It seems that a certain Welsh woman has got out of hand and I am, apparently, thier only hope.
Joining in with the 'hospital' theme..... I went to the audiology section yesterday. Its 10 years since I got my hearing aid and they tell me things have moved on a lot since then. They did all the audio tests and I have to go back on the 20th to collect the new one. The appointment is for 09.00 which is a pain as, to get there, I have to cross the A49 near the M6/M62 junction and that area is really bad.......its bad at any time but in rush hour .
Must go as it bedding wash day so i'm busy busy busy.

Good morning folks, a bit of an IKEA faux pas yesterday. We purchased some " KALLAX " units for storing our brommies, and Mrs Tkk also ordered a side unit that can take various inserts such as drawers / dividers/ doors etc. I assembled a pair of drawers and when inserted they came up short of external frame. They still worked fine but didn't look right. After puzzling and checking I realised that the unit Mrs Tkk had specified was 5mm shallower. As the chaps on here will know, it was, of course, my fault🤔. After rechecking and remeasuring I realised that the new unit that Mrs Tkk had specified was 5mm shallower in one dimension, hence the mismatch. When I pointed this out ( diplomatically of course 😁) there was much muttering and spluttering before it was decided that it was all the fault of the designers at IKEA, and not a failure by Mrs Tkk to check dimensions before ordering😁. I'll keep this one in reserve, and only bring it up on appropriate occasions 😉

It's going to be a damp day out there, as damp as the inside of @Drago 's underpants.😮
After the usual dog walking and stuff that needs doing, there is the usual meeting of the escape committee at the Railway Bell his afternoon. I don't like Wetherspoons food so I might pick up a takeaway curry on the way home.
