Good morning from a gloriously sunny Lancashire. Today is a treatment day. This will be a challenge for Mrs P, she is still in a lot of pain. We have to get her from the patient drop off to the cancer ward and on to a bed, then back again. I will be dumping my car in the drop off only zone, right outside the main entrance. Yes, I know it's selfish but I feel circumstances forgive this.

First and foremost. @Dave7 :welcome: back. We have missed you..................well we have to say that don't we?:laugh: Sorry, mate, couldn't resist!!

The rest of my day will be housework, shopping, general chores and importantly a haircut and beard trim. I'm feeling a bit shaggy and disreputable so as soon as Mrs P is settled I'll head to the barbers.

I've done something very important. I feel it is. On Wednesday I called seven people for help to lift Mrs P. No one answered. It turned out everyone had their phone on silent/do not disturb. Some confessed their phones are permanently on silent. OK, personal choice. I've decided this doesn't work for me and I need to be sure I'm available 24/7 for a select few. That's family, #2 son's carers and a few very close friends. It's taken a while to sort out but my phone will now ring 24/7 or if it's in "do not disturb," which is needed in certain circumstances, will vibrate only. At night it's always in DND but will now ring for the select few. I've connected the vibration to my watch. It might seem excessive but I feel if someone needs me in an emergency I should be available/reliable. The next step is to set up my Wahoo this way, I'm likely to ignore/not hear the phone when I'm riding. It was a little complex, involved much Googling but I got there. Samsung could make this simpler.

Mrs P is upstairs. She has just WhatsApped - coffee and painkillers........................ :hello::hello:

I set my phone to " Do Not Disturb " between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00. There's a toggle that says if anyone in my contacts rings three times in quick succession then the phone will over ride the " do not disturb " setting and ring.

Now that @Dave7 is off the naughty step and back in the forum that means there's a vacancy to fill🤔
With a Christmas theme, I wonder if the Mods favourite is "🎶 We're making a list, we're checking it twice, we're going to find out who's naughty or nice 🎶"

I don't have anybody to call if anything happens anyway. I don't know when I last took my phone with me unless I fancied taking a couple of photos.

Still very mild here although a bit overcast. Walk/jog done and just finished a bowl of muesli.

Yes, mine's 22:00 to 07:00 but gives the option to allow ringing from specified callers only. It does have two times in 15 minutes but I switched this off.

Again on the medical theme......I am at the Doctors at 3 p.m. (a stupid time on a Friday imo) as 'they' are still puzzling over my over active kidney. After numerous blood tests and seeing the specialist they are no wiser as to why or what can be done about it.
I eat well/healthy etc.
I don't 'feel' any problems, apart from what long Covid has done to my legs...... that aside I feel good.
So.......in short I am not expecting the Doc' to come up with anything new but she requested this visit so I will honour her with my presence ^_^

Bonjour. I had a lovely 37 kms ride yesterday but , after only 3kms, my Garmin went dead I think the battery was flat so I had to rely on Strava to keep ne updated. When I got home, Strava said my top speed was 149 kms per hour with an average of 63 kms per hour !! I had no idea I was going so fast!
Anyway, Garmin is recharged now .
Going out for lunch at some friend's house today.
