We watch a lot of news - from a variety of sources

Things that really annoys me is when a politician is determined on getting their POV across no matetr what
so sees no problem with just raining their voice and talking over the other people on the show

Often this is a man talking loudly over a woman - they often see women as lesser and their voice it higher pitched so they just talk over her
no always - they are also happy talking over men if they can

and they do not get called out on it often enough

as an ex teacher I have more strength in my voice that people realise and I would use it - I would have to do it , to stop myself hitting the arrogant git in some cases!!

Sounds like you need to stop watching it!

Bins again
Yellow top for recyclables - fortnightly
Green top for FOGO- fortnightly but not with yellow top.
Red top goes to landfill- weekly
Some who seem to eat only take away can have a second yellow top for an additional cost.
The weekly roster is fixed, collections are made even if it is a public holiday. The drivers must be extremely well paid

Which reminds me:
My girlfriend identifies as a wheelie bin.
I never remember which night I have to take her out.

Good morning. The forecast is good and sticking my head out the window suggests all is calm. I was in bed for 9.40 last night and slept straight through till 3.15. Pretty good and I feel better for it.

Club ride today. Its only a 38 miler but including my ride to/from the meet point I'll get 50. Originally I planned to ride with the C group, it's my level and pushes me, but the chosen route is ridiculous so I've opted for one of the easy social rides.

The club is increasingly divided these days, the fast guys and the rest of us. It's getting very political which I find disappointing. The C route today is 72 miles and 3500 feet. A crazy distance for mid-December. It would take me 6 hours including a cafe stop. 9.00 start means a 3.00pm finish and we would be riding home into the setting sun. I think low winter sun is real hazard for us, drivers truly can't see a cyclist in some circumstances. Sunset at 3.50pm - any sort of mechanical could delay us till dark.

The faster guys though will probably ride it in 5 hours - a big difference. I'm disappointed by this. I was chatting with the club chair on Thursday about routes. I believe he's riding today. I'll bend his ear.

Riding into setting and rising sun should be avoided.

Barnet,
Good morning all fellow retirees.
No frost here, but it is quite chilly outside.
I am currently listening to Tony Blackburn on the radio.
After a few domestics and the morning dog walk MrsP and myself are off to Hemel Hempstead to meet up with some friends for lunch at a canalside pub.
Then it will be home and a late afternoon of listening to the football on the radio.
