At last it looks like decent weather today so I will make the most of it and go for a ride, probably my last one for this year as we are going to Devon on Monday to spend Christmas at our daughter's.

Daughter texted to say what a great game it was. Her chap has a friend who lives a reasonable walking distance from the ground so they drove there from Leeds. Grandson really enjoyed the whole experience.

On site meeting with the district Council about some local pedestrian crossings that have been installed ages back but not activated. I threatened to get the local media to visit to watch Mini D try rd cross and rush hour and then invite the council to explain why they haven't switched it on yet and suddenly the council are going to get it activated pronto. Funny that.

NEWSFLASH FROM OUR LANCASHIRE CORRESPONDENT

Father Christmas has left theatre and is now in ICU where it is hoped his rapid recovery will allow him to return to active duties. Surgeons warned he may not regain his Ho Ho Ho immediately.

Meanwhile in a further update it's been revealed a Babushka was severely injured in the same incident. The innocent bystander was collecting firewood for the forthcoming celebrations. She is currently in theatre where we understand things are not going to plan. Surgeons are sticking to the task and hope for improvement.

A radical new therapy, only recently approved in the UK, involving acetone, warm soapy water and a teaspoon is under consideration.

We will bring you any further developments as soon as possible.......
