Morning. Very windy here at the moment. A day of showers so I’ll just need to hope to avoid the worst when I head out.

I used to really like the sweet (back in the day).

You’d have liked them now - the sounds were very good, & the gig had a feel good vibe 🙏
Two young girls (well, they can’t have been more than 30-35) followed us in….I’d made a joke about following the older people on the street to the gig, & they’d said “we’re going too!”…..stood next to us: they knew all the words & were bopping away all evening 🤪

I have already mentioned that we have had a lot of Spring rain.
I cut these hydrangeas back to the canes in Autumn and look at them now.

Morning all :hello:

Weather's looking good for this Fish Friday.
Will go out for a nice walk somewhere and then lunch at a local pub.
First job of the day is to change the batteries in the kitchen smoke alarm.

Started young, and still going.
Good morning all.
The wind and rain has gone, and the sun is just coming up.
Today is the traditional Christmas curry lunch for the escape committee. But first there are the normal daily duties to be performed.

Morning.
Overcast and breezy but not actually raining so that's a win.
Turbo yesterday(urggh) so it's weights today.

The Sweet were around in my long lost youth, the only song I liked and still do was Love is like Oxygen. A cracker.

Sweet, no The, we're the second gig i ever went to when I was 14 at the Rainbow Finsbury Park in 1973. A great gig. The first was Slade a couple of weeks before at the same venue.
As taken from the semi-official Wikipedia website site.

The Sweet (sometimes known as Sweet[1]) are a British glam rock band who rose to prominence in the 1970s. Their best-known line-up consisted of lead vocalist Brian Connolly, bassist Steve Priest, guitarist Andy Scott and drummer Mick Tucker.
