I find it difficult to buy small portions of blue cheese.
I bought some Roquefort and have been enjoying that BUT had a brill idea.......I put half of it in the corned beef hash I made.....WOW, it was great. I will do it again.

I also find it difficult to buy blue cheese

actually I find it difficult to go near the damn cheese cabinet

I only do it to get some for my wife

Love has no grater

and all that

(spelling deliberate - unlike my normal typing!!!)

Oh and - this has been true since I was a kid
My Mum used to Littlewoods to get bacon and cheese on Saturdays when I was little
I was fine holding her hand at the bacon counter
but to get to the cheese counter she had to leave me at the side of the escalator and trust me to stay there because I would not go near the cheese counter
I was a good kid and did what I was told - but that was too much
only worked because the alternative was being forced to go to the cheese counter next week - so I stayed put

Worst smell I ever smelt was a cheese market in a massive tent in Turkey in Summer
Yea Gods it reaked!!!

Once assisted in arresting a guy who struggled quite violently. We had his legs and he still struggled, causing his jeans to come down to his knees and revealing ladies knickers, stockings and suspenders.

All four of us described it in our statements in glorious technicolour. Sadly I wasn't in court to see his embarrassment.

I once went to see a solicitor (in Warrington). It was a big, well known practice to many but not me. I had written and sent him some other paperwork.
Once we had got the prelims out of the way he stood up and walked to the filing cabinet.
I nearly fell off my chair.........he was wearing a skirt, stocking and high heeled shoes.
I found out later that he was well known as a cross dresser. Obviously I had led a sheltered life as I had never seen anything like it before.

Morning. Yesterday’s snow is still lying on the pavement on our street and it’s still frosty so it might be slippy. I can’t stay cooped up for another day so I will attempt a short wander around the town. If it feels too slippy I will just turn back.

Good morning all. Cats and the dog have been fed, and the moggies have gone out.
I'm on my 2nd mug of tea now whilst listening to Tony Blackburn on the radio.
Some domestics to be done, and a pair of Chinos to press, they were washed the other day and are a bit creased up.
No rain forecast today but it is going to be cloudy with a tropical temperature of around 3⁰C this afternoon.
Enjoy your day everyone. :cuppa:

Morning all :hello:

Apparently, Clarkson was seen in several local pubs last night. I wonder if he was scoping them out with a view to buy?
Storm Moretti has blown past; but it never amounted to much here, anyway.
Won't be going to Minehead anytime soon as there are temporary lights at Dunster and they are causing chaos - 6 mile tail back yesterday! Friday is a big day for Butlins arrivals and the lights were out of sequence, only allowing 4 cars through at a time!
Got parcels to post this morning.
