Barnet,
I may have to find a Coop........this reminds me of a question I need answering. We have two unused Christmas puddings. Should I cook these or store for next Christmas?

Store them, they won't go off.
Ps, I do love mince pies.

Good morning. It looks like a nice day is dawning. Out on my walk yesterday I saw our swans had returned, hear birdsong, spotted three lapwing, nice to see small signs of spring.

Off to see my GP for 9.30. I'll get there 15 minutes early to let my HR and BP settle before seeing him. I've had some discomfort in my chest and left arm of late. I'm sure it relates to the RTC, probably when I picked up the five year-old a few weeks ago, but one can't be too careful.

Cards group this afternoon and I'll pop to the gym after that. Perhaps a short walk this morning.

Today's crossword is tough. Even when I use the "cheat word" function I can't understand the clues. Very tough. I only do this when I've given up.

Have we done our tax returns? Only 16 days to go. Did mine last night.

Alert- CoOp are welling boxes or 6 x mince pies. I only had a tenner, but still managed to nab 25 boxes. IMHO mince pies are the only good thing about Christmas.

My best deal was our Morrisons Local selling off cans of Gordons G+T for £1 as they were near their best before date. I did a quick bit of mental arithmetic, 250ml @ 8% = pub standard double. I purchased 20 cans, I couldn't see Gin "going off"

Am I the only one who isn’t that keen on mince pies ?

They are too much for me as well.....me and too much pastry dont mix......it brings on acid reflux. Plus, the contents are normally too sweet.
I did enjoy Aldi mince meat tarts. Not too sickly and with latice pastry.
I have a box of 4 and some cartons of custard which i will enjoy.
