Good morning. Dark, cold and very blowy. Yesterday's ride must have been tough as my body is still tired but the good news is my legs feel great. Months of work have gone into rebuilding strength and my last two rides seem to have shown it's working. 👏

I’d like to do a bit more this year but there’s just no let up with this horrible weather. We appear to have rain/sleet every single day until at least the middle of the month.

Morning.
Grey and windy(not me the weather) but dry.
Taking eldest to train station as she's back to London.
I'll be dropping books off at library and then getting a haircut at the barbers to make most of trip to town.
Exciting times...

#2SP today and I must dive off to get her. She's only 15 months and still needs a decent mid-morning nap........similar to her Granddad as he's only 861 months!!!! 😱 Put like that it doesn't seem long.

Rovers are at home. The coach charlatan got the boot yesterday. We travel to Ewood with high hopes this evening. Damien Johnson, youth coach, is a true Rover. He can do it for us.

I was reading through the " Ten talking points from the weekend action " article in the Guardian football coverage. Local team Bournemouth ( up the cherries! 🍒 ). The report on the Wolves game finished with " Bournemouth have signed a player the elite will soon enough covet, with the same going for Eli Junior Kroupi, scorer of Bournemouth’s excellent first goal.". Bournemouth are a great footballing side to watch, but it's frustrating knowing that the Dodgy oil state backed money clubs will soon come swooping to take our best players ( and Manager probably ).

Bonjour to a very wet and windy North Wales.
I tried to make an appointment to see my doctor this morning and after waiting 15 minutes on the phone, I was told all appointments are booked up for today, try again at 8 am tomorrow morning.
Why can't I book one for tomorrow now instead of trying again at 8 am and be told that all lines are engaged, try again later.
I am not surprised our A&E department up here is overflowing as it is impossible to see a local GP.

Same here, and the strange thing is, on the odd occasion I’ve actually gone in to speak to a receptionist, the waiting room is almost deserted!

Morning folks :okay: weather continues to be grotty with 20 mph freezing winds  i have a drift of wall flowers in my front garden which get either freeze dried or totally submerged in snow but are toughing it out.
Being indoors a lot has given me time for bodging! i made 2 huge planters for a neighbours elderly mum, one for a tree Kojo-no-mai and one for a rose 'Swan Lake'. As mentioned in the sanity thread ive made two bird boxes out of a hollowed out tree trunk found on the beach, will try to put them up soon as birds will be prospecting for nesting sites. :okay:

Do you have the MyGP or NHS apps? It is mandatory for practices to offer online booking. This is specifically to counter the 8.00am rush.

Introduced 1st October 2025. I've used it twice. I've been able to choose my doctor, day and time. I like to choose my GP because there is one I refuse to see, though would if it was life-threatening.

I chatted briefly with the GP and he said it works very though people forgetting to cancel appointments they no longer need is an issue. If at all possible I only ring at 8.00am for an emergency.
