Just remembered
when I went out for a ride I just happened to stop at teh Cafe Boat again - funny how that happens
anyway - they were parked near the Aquaduct
when people say this I think of that one with the long name in Wales
magnificent stone arches marching across the scenery with historic elegance
This one is a bit smaller - about 12 foot wide and made of steel girders and a steel deck
Anyway - the people who run the boat cafe were saying they had found a deep hole at the side of the towpath
which is worrying so they reported it
I had a look and if the canal leaks there the water has a nice long steep slope down to the railway and then over a load of fields at a much lower level!!
I would a amazing to see it if it does - but it would be a massive problem to repair as the whole canal has no locks anywhere to until someone can get some stop logs in place the whole thing would just rush out!
