Been out for a ride

Lucky you. I haven't been out on my bike since the middle of December due to bad weather and my cataract operation.
It will be at least another 10 days now before I can as we are away tomorrow till next Sunday.
The legs will be hurting when I do.

Just remembered

when I went out for a ride I just happened to stop at teh Cafe Boat again - funny how that happens

anyway - they were parked near the Aquaduct
when people say this I think of that one with the long name in Wales
magnificent stone arches marching across the scenery with historic elegance

This one is a bit smaller - about 12 foot wide and made of steel girders and a steel deck

Anyway - the people who run the boat cafe were saying they had found a deep hole at the side of the towpath

which is worrying so they reported it

I had a look and if the canal leaks there the water has a nice long steep slope down to the railway and then over a load of fields at a much lower level!!
I would a amazing to see it if it does - but it would be a massive problem to repair as the whole canal has no locks anywhere to until someone can get some stop logs in place the whole thing would just rush out!

The boat/cafe had an advert on my Google feed today. It was a fillum which looked nice but I could only get it to play about 10 seconds.

The whole changing boat thing was a pain in the arse, but it’s turned out to me well worth the effort as it’s rejuvenated my sailing enjoyment .
