Morning folks :okay: today i will be mostly walking the beach and pruning the roses :okay: Will go and take the ice out of the birdbath in a while i like to see them splishing n splashing. Getting eager for the spring now and have been making a list of seeds, plants, compost, fertilizer, etc quite easy to spend a fair few hundred quid so will restrain the 'buy it now' digit :okay:

Presumably you have to walk fairly slowly to be able to prune the roses as you go?

I'm also hoping spring isn't too far away. The Woodpeckers have started rattling on the trees trying to attract mates and I noticed some catkins on the trees.

The rumours Bruce would be touring this year have increased day by day recently. You'll all have noticed, I'm sure! 🤔 I hoped for Europe but nope, it's the States. Confirmed last night. I woke up this morning and decided we should go. Ticket sales start on the 20th. Yes, I will fly thousands of miles to listen. I announced this to Mrs P. "......and what if they won't let us in?" "My passport has less than six months to expiry" She was serious, sadly she's right it would be a risk.

If not for that I'd go. Crazy, I guess. Fly thousands of miles for a gig. I'd love to be at the Minneapolis opening night. That is going to be something else.

Busy morning so far... Hair's been trimmed; 6mm all over.
Washing machine has been cleaned including the filter & grotty mess that the powder/conditioner drawer seems to always be.
MrsPete is shopping so when she gets back I'll take the dog out for a mile or so walkies 🐶

Pete, I used to have the same problem with the powder drawer of the washing machine. I was told that I should leave the drawer open after the wash had finished. I tried that and it's not 'gunged up' since. Its 2 months now and it's totally clear. Worth a try if you dont already do it.

I leave the powder/detergent drawer and the door open after use, it's would seem the airflow around the machine dries it out and stops the gunk from forming.

@PeteXXX @Dave7 and @Paulus offer words of wisdom. We leave the door open. I also run a service wash every 2 - 3 months. Put a cup of vinegar in the drum and run the hottest wash available. We also use mould magic gel on the door seal. It really does work.

Never heard of that mould gel. I haven't noticed a problem but tbh I've never checked.
I might have said before.......my job was all over Europe and it could be long hours/weeks. Sue didn't work but was carer for her Mum. So it just happened that Sue did all the daily domestics. Since she died it's been an 'interesting' learning curve for me.
