£76 lighter at the dentist which I wasn’t expecting. I had forgotten my bank card so I was glad of Apple Pay on my watch. I got an x-ray to check in between teeth for decay, a scale and polish plus she did a bit of composite bonding on my 2 chipped front teeth. Thank goodness I’m still NHS or you could probably add another zero.

Dentistry here is not on Medicare. A recent cut and polish cost me AUD220.

Good morning all.
A cool start to the day here with a touch of frost on the grass. But, the sun is up and it's going to be a warm day.
I have a doctor's appointment at midday for a yearly health check. No doubt I'll get told off for something or other. 🤔
Still it will give me a chance for a bike ride.

That is a good idea

I used to talk to my Dad a lot when we went to the Air Show in Fairford every year and stuff

But I have forgotten a lot of the bits and pieces and I remember bits of what ne said but wonder whay and when sometimes

Even stupid things like when he was injured in the war
I know he was based at Fairford mostly and worked on Stirlings
but I think, and am fairly sure, that he mentioned Halifaxes, especially regarding D-Day and being based in Lincolnshire
but the squadron that complies with the first bit never went to Lincolnshire so something does not link up

there are a lot of bits like that that would make sense if I had something written down properly rather than just remembering but and pieces

WHen I realised I have forgotten bit and not asked other bits it was too late

so having it written down would have been nice

They'd have been used as tugs for the gliders used on D-Day.

When my dentist asked me that few years back i asked what that had to do with my teeth? She admitted it had nothing to do with them. So I said in that case I decline to answer that. She put that in my notes and I've not been asked since.

I am saying good morning though at just 4ish its still middle of the night. I was in bed early so had a decent kip. Will no doubt go back for another kip soon.

What format did you write it on?
My works so far are based on word (or now google docs), which I can get to .pdf, but I couldn’t see any easy way to publish those (esp as they have photos liberally spread about!).

A pal recommended Calibre, but it jiggered up the pictures in the ‘books’.
