I received my council tax for 2026/2027 ,this morning. What a rip off!! It is now £2481 . Our council tax in Conwy area has gone up 30% in the last 4 years. My pension has not.
What the heck do they do with our money? Roads are full of potholes and we have to pay extra to get rid of certain things at the rubbish tip.
This is insane.

WOW - glad i moved - that used to be my counsel!!!

Been up for a while and was planning on a ride this morning

Then got an email from the windows cleaners saying they will be coming today
But when I blasted the moss off the low roof below the bedroom window - I ended up with a lot of muck on the windows and frames
and a lot in a corner that I couldn't see from where I was

It was almost invisible when wet but became clear when it dried out yesterday

so it has to be done before the windows are cleaned as fixing the moss problem would make a mess of the windows again

So - now that's all done - did take a lot of leaning over and stuff but I got it sorted

but ride is delayed until after lunch

Now - dilemma
WHat to wear - sunny and warm ish day
do I try out the new cycling shorts - not tight fitting so the local women won;t have heart attacks

Gotta support the NHS

(and my wife would not let me out of the house!!!)

and - t-shirt and jacket - or take a jumper as well

this bike riding lack can be very complicated!!

So when your wife demands AND WHAT ARE YOU UP TO ? you dont look surprised and say "nothing darling" ?
You deserve a medal.

No - I tell the truth

Confuses the Hell out of people!!!!
my wife expects it - she thinks i am weird
but I am her 3rd husband and I think she regards it as better than the other options!!!

Lied a lot to my ex - had to, to keep the peace - or something as close to it as possible
funny thing was that she often accused me of lying
but never from when I did - always from when I was telling the truth but she didn't like it

I have just taken my new toy for a spin. It doesn't compare to the pleasure of cycling but it got me round a lot of the paths in the park that my legs won't cover.
Strange thing, its max speed is 8mph and I felt uncomfortable at that ie not in full control... yet I used to average 15mph on my bike, maybe up to 30mph with the wind and was always comfortable with that.

They react quite quickly to steering input. I had a go on dads and was quite surprised how it handled.

Blimey, 16 degrees here and I felt quite lethargic on my afternoon walk. I think it’s the sudden change.

They do react quickly. What i have to get used to is the feeling that it could tip over. I see people on my Aldi shop and thier scooters have very narrow front wheels and they handle ok. I will have another go tomorrow.
