WHen I got down this morning the temperature in the lounge was 16 degrees

which is about the normal for the dead of winter!

The lounge does see to be pretty good at holding heat in - but it is supped to me nearly summer!!!

Yes I was up early as usual. Nothing exciting to say though. My existence is very much like Groundhog Day, but thankfully I'm quite content living like that.

A frosty start here but we are in for a few dry days at last. 5 mile walk/jog done and just finished beans on toast for breakfast.

Our life is like that, too. We love it, nice, secure & comfy in each other's company and our home. We neither need nor want to be dashing around doing "stuff".

Ours is 18.5C - the CH will soon bring it up to a more habitable 21C.

21C is way too warm for me indoors. 18.5C would just about be ok but possibly still a little too warm.
I would have the CH off now but MrsP won't let me.

21C varies a lot in terms of feel here. On a dry (increasingly rare) day with low humidity 18C is fine but on a grey, damp day like today, 21C feels nice and comfy.

Grandson's new BMX has had a final check over before I surprise him with it later today.. 👍

The internal temps in our house rarely go below 20°C. I can cope with 16-17°C quite easily....the missus wouldn't tolerate that, so the thermostat is set at 20°C.

We also have a wood burner and when she ramps that bad boy up we can hit 26°C in the living room and the rest of the house will be 22-24°C.

I usually leave the missus to cook on the sofa at that point and I'll go in my cave where it's considerably cooler.

Just checked our lounge radiator and it feels slightly warm to the touch. Checked with a thermostat and it's 29 degrees so checked the energy consumption which is 390 watts. The previous comment about grey and damp outside feels colder than bright and less humid certainly rings true.

I got another walk in. Only managed 1 mile the last 4 days were catching up on me.
I had a good breckie and am on chicken curry later so will have pita bread and hummus to put me on.
