Morning all

Tip run to dump a load of cardboard, then doggie walking.
Only 50 quid on PBs this month.

Just come back from our tip. Two heavy garden bags and now by back is hurting. Boy the tip was busy at 9.15, glad to get out of it. Too small for the population.

Just looked and we are not due rain today

but the temperature looks like it is not shorts weather - probably

so might go out for a ride anyway - we shall see

tomorrow is a non starter and Monday we are taking the grand-daughter to a National Trust place where they have a Rembrany on display

not sure she it terribly excited about the painting - she is 13 - but I can take her off when she gets bored and leave her gran to look




On - and - (looking at the thread title) we had a solicitor around yesterday about wills and stuff
very thought-provoking

turns out that my wife has clear ideas about what to do after she snuffs it
I am not bothered - but I am starting to wonder

Best to get these things sorted - can save a whole lot of hassle for those left behind. Especially for people who have had multiple marriages and children by different partners, etc.

Indeed. My neighbour/friend was twice married. His 2nd wife was also twice married. Between them they have 3 grown children but none together.
His wife died shortly before Sue, so approx 3 years ago.
He is having a nightmare now trying to sort his will out with complications about legal access to the various bank accounts ie physically he has access but proving it and leaving it His one child and his wife's 2 children is not as straight forward as you might think.
Mine is more straight forward......one marriage, 2 children, everything split equally. And even then there are difficulties as we both left our half of the estate in trust to the 'children' but between them them have requested a change.....but I cant change 50% of it as Sue left it in trust, so i cant touch it.
So I agree, get a good will specialist and think long and hard about the whole thing.

Another little wander done. The road I cycled out in peace and quiet at 5am is now absolutely streaming with traffic. I can’t see me ever cycling later in the day again.

Thanks. Was just about to post that.

Since I’m up early I think I will finally force myself out for a very short bimble while the roads are quiet. It’s a bit sad that it’s such an effort to make myself do something that I used to enjoy so much a few years ago.

We might have rain this afternoon. Looks like our good spell of weather is coming to an end.

Afternoon all . Glad to be back ( told you I wouldn’t make next week 😂 ) .
It was nice to have couple of days off to put things into perspective, if I hadn’t I would have definitely done a Drago . 😀
Anyway all behind me now and I have my happy face on ……. for now at least . 😂😂
