It was a busy day today
but both things morning were cancelled by the other party
so I am left with just the car bloke coming to fix a rather large scratch on the rear door of the car caused by Liverpool Counsel putting a concrete column in the wrong place in a car park!!
Clearly not my fault at all!!
Apparently the window cleaners are due to day as well!

MrsP did something similar last week. Didn't notice a post until it took the cover off of the wing mirror and took a gouge out of the front wing and door panel.
The Chips away person is coming in a couple of weeks time to repair the damage.
I have cut the grass again this morning after walking the dog and getting a short bike ride in..
Now drinking tea.![]()
Blackbird turned up with its other half! will have to order up more cheese if they bring the kids!
I did try CHips Away first#when I was moving house to come here the bloke opposite backed into me by accident and I used them
The bloke that came did a damn good job
but apparently they don;t have anyone in this area at the moment so I had to find someone else
Not a "Chips Away" story, but, an "accidental backing into story"....
When Daughter No1 passed her driving test, she came home beaming. I told her she could take my car, and drive to her friend's house, to tell her the good news /have a little boast. Her mother gave her all of the "drive carefully" advice.
Off she went. She parked outside of her friends house, and, went in to tell her friend the good news. Whilst she was in there, a neighbour reversed into my car!
Poor Daughter No1, she was totally innocent, but, mortified. Her sisters still mention it occasionally, even 38 years later!
Reminds me of when I passed mine
Shortly after my GranDad was ill and stayed at ours for a while
He was rather pedantic about driving properly and other things
but my dad was sure I was fine driving
anyway - Grandad was going home for the day and coming back in the evening to see how he was on his own
so I was detailed to drive him home as he couldn't drive yet
I got in the car and all was well
until the car stopped - the engine just slowly started pulling less and stopped. Would not start no matter what I did.
This was well before mobile phones
so I ended up runnign home - probably the furthest I have ever run (I don't do running!)
got my Dad and we went bakc in Mum's car
Turned out that GranDad tried to start the car himself a minute or so after I left and it started first time and he left it running and it was fine
My Uncle was a mechanic and looked at it later and the carb was bunged up with some rubbish which must have starved the engine of petrol
but it looked like me driving badly in some manner
and I felt terrible for leaving my sick Grandad alone in the car while I ran home!!
Paul, the answer is, i dont know. Ive been making my own so haven't checked. I am due a trip in the next few days so will have a look.
TBH I cant remember which ones they were, can you ?
There's a joke there........
The woman's car stalled and wouldn't start.
The mechanic fixed it in 2 minutes and said "just sh*t in the carburettor "
The woman says "how often do i have to do that "?
A learner driver story
Many years ago Sue was having lessons.
I had a brand new company car (a Volvo) and was given permission for Sue to drive it.
1st time out she was turning into the drive and went straight into the concrete fence post, smashing it down.
The kids were in the back. Son said to daughter "I didnt know Dad knew words like that".
